Something new every day...

I forgot to mention that one day last week that when I talking to Sidney he said to me, "What did you say?" I was taken aback as usual. He's learning his colors too. And he picks up things when you're not even talking to him. My husband was talking on the phone to his aunt and Siddy was off doing his own thing but then my husband heard him saying his aunt's name. Then he came running over wanting to say hi. As he was telling me this, Sidney was in the background and somehow he knew it was me on the phone.

Just now I asked him, "Are you my Sidney?"

He responded with a drawn out, "Yeah."

1, 2, 3,...

He counted to 10 today without any prompting. Actually, he was looking through the latest issue of Super Street and he was talking about cars and engines when he just started counting. Is it wrong for me to be so happy? I wonder, since he seems to be learning so quickly (he recognizes letters of the alphabet and he knows most of his body parts too), is he lacking somewhere else? People who tend to excel in one area also tend to lack in another. I try to make sure he's exposed to different people and places - he goes about everywhere with us. Is there anything else I should do? Hmm.

Amazing!

This morning I went to give Sidney a goodbye kiss and you wouldn't believe he turned his head and when he turned back to me he covered his mouth with his hand! I busted out laughing; it was so funny cause I knew he was playing with me.

This evening when I came home I found Sidney at the top of the stairs and NO gate was up. Even worse, he was heading towards the stairs to pick up one of the pieces he had dropped. This boy walked over, squatted down and then lay down flat, reached down to the next step and picked up his puzzle piece. He's so smart.

Modeling...Again

Learning

Sidney was putting together some lego-like blocks today. I just watched him and nudged my husband. He was working with some intensity trying to fit the pieces together. And some were actually connecting!

Modeling

Sidney has his first interview with a modeling agency - Avenue Models in Fort Lauderdale. Yes, we signed him up. He should be on their website within the next couple of weeks. We'll see how it goes. I still plan to send interest letters to other companies. I'll post the link when I get it.
